Jared-Blajian-cello-300x300The opening night celebration concert takes place on Monday, December 7, 2015 featuring the Fifth Avenue Chamber Orchestra, William Noll, Music Director & Conductor.  Nineteen year old cellist, Jared Blajian will be the guest soloist.

Mr. Blajian is the laureate of many competitions and attends the Cleveland Institute of Music.  He is also an honored recipient of the Bert Phillips Scholarship through the Naples Music Club.

The internationally renowned Amernet String Quartet returns for a most interesting and exhilarating showcase of two classic string quartets, which were both premiered in Vienna! Franz Josef Haydn composed the "Emperor" Quartet in 1797, in honor of the Emperor Francis the second.  You may be familiar with its famous slow movement theme.

The second half of the program will feature Johannes Brahms vibrant A Minor String Quartet, Opus 52, Number 2 with its brilliant coda finale!

ManhattanPianoA formidable debut concert takes place featuring a presentation of the Manhattan Piano Trio, which the Washington Post describes as "Excellent and outstanding." Performing the dynamic D Minor trio of Mendelssohn.

The concert will also feature the Russian romanticism of Tchaikovsky's dramatic piano trio in A minor.  Truly, a most special debut for the Manhattan Piano Trio!

March heralds the return of the Fifth Avenue Chamber for a most unique evening of extraordinary music!  For the very first time we are going to present Chamber Opera Aruas featuring, "The Three Sopranos," Vasilisa Berzhanskaya (top), Valerie Bernhardt (bottom left) & Julia Lima (bottom right).   A triple bill of internationally renowned diva coloraturas will be singing virtuoso arias by Salieri, Gluck, Handel & Mozart!

These powerhouse composers along with three powerful divas and the Fifth Avenue Chamber Orchestra will be an evening to remember!

MedvedevJoin us as Classic Chamber concerts celebrates the return of virtuoso pianist Nikolai Medvedev.  His brilliant performance for the opening night concert of our 20th Anniversary prompted the Naples Daily News to write "This was the perfect start to their 20th Anniversary season. Concerts like this explain why it's still filling houses after 20 years."

The orchestra will open this concert with the ebullient sounds of Beethoven's Second Symphony.  Pianist Nikolai Medvedev will then join the orchestra for a performance of Beethoven's dramatically youthful Concerto Number 2 in B-flat major. This is an all Beethoven concert which is not to be missed!

A2 : Aizuri + Amernet = "A" squared!

This unique concert will feature the debut of the Aizuri String Quartet (left) performing the famous Third Razumovsky Quartet of Beethoven.

Following the Beethoven, a unique transformation takes place! The Aizuri Quartet (see January 8) will be joined by the Amernet Quartet in a rare performance of Mendelssohn's brilliant Octet for Strings, written when he was only 16 years old!

17th & 21st Century Bach

HerskowitzEnding the 21st season, Classic Chamber Concerts will partner with ArtsNaples World Festival. This concert ushers in the 5th Anniversary season of the festival!  The program features the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, but in a very unique manner!  The strings of the Fifth Avenue Chamber Orchestra will join with the clever genius of guest pianist Matt Herskowitz who will perform Bach's Concerto in D minor written in 1728.  It was a very famous composition actually written for harpsichord.  However, it became rather popular for the piano, as Mendelssohn performed it, and Brahms even wrote a cadenza for it.

Following intermission we are going to feature a most special arrangement of 21st Century Bach a la Jazz!  Mr. Herskowitz is famous world-wide for his styling of Bach's famous C minor Prelude.
